When using this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is information with which you can be personally identified. In this privacy policy, we explain what data we collect and for what purpose we use it. We also inform you about how and for what purpose this is done.

We would like to point out that the transmission of data on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Storage period

Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this Privacy Policy, your personal data will remain stored by us until the purpose for processing the data no longer exists. If you submit a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. obligations to retain data under tax or commercial law). In the latter case, the deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

Information on the transfer of data to the USA
Please note that our website also includes tools from companies based in the USA. If these tools are activated, your personal data may be transmitted to the servers of the respective US companies. We would like to point out that the USA does not offer an adequate level of protection for personal data according to EU data protection law. US companies may be obliged to disclose personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being able to challenge this in court. There is therefore a possibility that US authorities (e.g. intelligence agencies) may process, analyse and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence on these processing operations.

If you wish to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data

Most data processing operations require your explicit consent. You have the right to revoke consent you have already given at any time. The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation.

In certain circumstances, you have the right to object to the collection of your data, as well as the right to object to direct marketing (in accordance with Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation).

Where data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, including the associated profiling, at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please refer to this privacy policy for the respective legal basis for processing. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection under Article 21(1) DSGVO).

If your personal data are processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing purposes, including the related profiling. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection under Article 21(2) DSGVO).

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

If breaches of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) occur, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. This supervisory authority is usually located in the member state of the data subject, i.e. either in the place of his or her habitual residence, place of work or the place of the suspected infringement. The right of appeal exists independently of other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data, which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or for the performance of a contract, from us in a common, machine-readable format. You can also have this data transferred to a third party if this is technically possible and you explicitly request this.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect your confidential data, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as site operator, we use SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise that an encrypted connection exists by the address line of your browser changing from “http://” to “https://” and a lock symbol being displayed in your browser line.

Activating SSL or TLS encryption ensures that the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

Information, deletion and correction

In accordance with the applicable legal regulations, you have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the personal data we have stored about you. This includes information about the origin and recipients of your data as well as the purpose of the data processing. If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted. If you have any questions about your personal data or would like to exercise your rights in relation to this data, you can contact us at any time. We will be happy to assist you with your personal data concerns.

Right to restrict processing

You have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise this right, you can contact us at any time. Restriction of processing may occur in the following cases:

  1. if you dispute the accuracy of your personal data held by us, we need time to verify this. During this review, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data.
  1. if the processing of your personal data has been or continues to be unlawful, you may request restriction of processing instead of erasure.
  1. if we no longer need your personal data, but you need the data to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your data instead of erasure.
  1. if you have objected in accordance with Article 21(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a balance will be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not been determined which interest prevails, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. 5.

Once you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data – with the exception of storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
